History

I've been working with clay since I left Art college in 1980. I love Clay. I love that it's squishy and malleable to work with, can be intricately molded, modeled or wheel thrown, but is transformed by fire into something strong and durable, capable of lasting centuries. I can't think of many other substances that you can do that with.
I've been working from home in my current workshop for 22 years, making and selling pots and teaching pottery in a variety of settings. For the last 5 years I've been making mosaic based work using mainly old china shards and glass with inclusions of handmade clay pieces. I make wall hung work and 3D pieces to sell at shows and in galleries and work to private and public art commission. Check out my gallery to see what I'm doing.
